Our nature is so interesting – we are born with a different set of genes each person is unique. This applies to everything from the size of your nose to how you will look at 20, 40, and 60.

We cannot unrecognizably change what is given to us (except to spend on plastic surgery, but we all know that this deception only ugly women). We can only learn how to properly care for our appearance, particularly the skin of the face at home.

Some people’s skin is naturally oily, others are dry and thin, it is believed that in modern conditions normal skin is very rare, more often combined – the skin can behave differently depending on the season and temperature and weather conditions.

We can’t completely change our skin type – so DO NOT believe the tricks of advertisers who assure you that your skin will no longer be oily from their wonderful product! But, if you choose the right cosmetics for your skin type and take good care of it, it will look healthier and oily.

1. Determine your skin type

Oily skin

This type of skin is usually thicker, the pores are well visible and dilated. The skin has an oily luster, which collects all dirt and dust, which is why oily skin is more likely to suffer from rashes and pimples. The advantage due to the thickness and protection against drying, oily skin is not prone to the formation of wrinkles, so owners of this type of skin (if they learn to properly care for it) will look young for a long time.

Dry skin

As opposed to oily dry skin, it has a fine structure, transparency, and matte finish. It can be easily irritated, flaky, and feel “tightened”. It is on dry skin that wrinkles are most likely to occur. It needs constant hydration and is extremely sensitive to aggressive make-up remover products and hard water.

Normal skin

The moisture and fat content of this type of skin is balanced, so it is the least problem-free in care and looks young for a long time. But this doesn’t mean that you don’t need to take care of it at all, just choose all the products for normal skin, there will be a pH.

Combined skin

With this type of skin, the T-zone area is usually like oily skin, the eyes, temples, and chin may be dry skin. The skin may look heterogeneous, be sensitive to cosmetics – you need to choose the care products very carefully.

2. Rules of facial care at home

For your skin to be protected from the effects of the environment and to look flawless, you need to cleanse it first, tone it second, and tone it third, увлажнять\питать. All these face care can be done at home.
All these actions should be done in the morning and evening, the only difference being that after cleansing and toning, we moisturize the skin and nourish it in the evening. Don’t think that in the morning you can do without the first two points and just start applying the cosmetics to the cream (or without it!).

After all, while we sleep, the sebaceous glands also work, we rub our face against the pillow, and collect dust and bacteria on it, which will gladly arrange your inflammation and pimples if you do not carefully conduct all morning procedures. The products for these care processes need to be selected according to your skin type (already defined in the previous paragraph?).

3. Your skin type is not forever

Skin type can change during life, so cosmetics should be selected based on how your skin feels and looks now. Usually, any skin type produces more fat in the summer and dryer in the winter. The sebaceous glands are also affected by hormones and nutrition. For example, with the advent of menopause, your skin becomes dry, and adding polyunsaturated fatty acids to your diet makes dry skin normal.

4.Features of face care by skin type

If you use cosmetics from the mass market, check the composition of the products. Try to choose the most natural (read in this case – harmless) products.

IMPORTANT: For oily skin, we don’t use alcoholic tonics (this is exactly what inexperienced young girls do – after all, oily skin, I want to skim, but it can only make the problem worse). Also, for oily skin, oil-based creams are contraindicated, and without a note about the lack of comedogenicity.

IMPORTANT  For dry skin, choose mild, non-aggressive cleansing and toning products. However, nonfat creams are not suitable here. It’s especially important to protect dry skin from ultraviolet rays and frost. That’s why don’t go out in the summer without a protective moisturizer, and in the winter without a fatty, nourishing cream. And it is desirable to take 30 minutes before going outdoors.

5. How to apply the cream correctly

Any type of skin must not be rubbed heavily with cleansing or toning; all movements must be light and smooth. Wash first with warm water, then you can reduce the temperature a little – do not hurt the skin with icy water.
After all, the temperature will open pores in warm water, which will open easier and you can cleanse your skin much better.

The cream should be applied by patting soft movements (do not rub or rub!), in certain directions:
on the forehead: with both hands towards the temples, from bottom to top;
areas around the eyes: on the eyelid from the nose bridge to the corners of the eyes, under the eyes – in the opposite direction with both hands simultaneously;
on the cheeks: from the nose to the temples;
around the lips: on the chin, from the center in both directions, from the top of the mouth to the base of the wings of the nose;
on the neck: first on the middle, then carefully rubbed in both directions on the side surfaces.

It is also important to observe the correct application of creams. Creams and serums should be applied to wet skin, but sunscreen – on dry skin. Also, do not wipe your face with a towel – only to soak and then preferably with napkins.

6. Select means wisely

Mass-market cosmetics i.e. advertised cosmetics, sold in ordinary perfumery stores, usually contain toxic products of petrochemistry. 90% of the cost of these properties is used to form an advertising campaign and popularize the products.

All these beautiful girls with shining peach faces, who smile at us from screens and labels, make us buy these products. We also want to look just as stunning. And at this point, we don’t ask ourselves at all, what is part of such cosmetics? What is included in these tiny remaining 10% of the price?

7. Go for a checkup

Problem skin speaks directly to problems in the body. So, no matter how good your skin is, it’s just a little bit of a relief, but it won’t solve the problem.

Instead of buying another “pimple” tonic, consult an endocrinologist – most often problematic skin is the result of hormonal or nutritional disorders.

8. We use a scrub

For moisturizing and nourishing creams and serums to better penetrate the skin structure and work there, you need to remove all possible obstacles to this. This means carefully cleanse the skin of dirt (with milk, foam, gel, gommage) and dead epithelium (with scrubs).

With oily skin, you can use exfoliating scrubs quite often.

But in case of dry skin – no more than once a week, it is better to choose only soft scrubs – so as not to damage the delicate skin.

9.Making face masks at home

Make nourishing skin masks at home once or twice a week. This is not only cheap but also very effective. Be sure to match the masks to your skin type and follow the instructions for use. It is also useful to make cleansing face masks at home with gelatin and honey.

Several times a week, apply natural rejuvenating oils to the skin (argan oil, masquet roses, immortelle oil, evening primrose). This should be done in the evenings, applied to wet skin with massage movements, and moisturizing cream on top.

10. Cosmetologist’s advice

Do not wash with tap water!

Normal tap water can be hard. It contains magnesium and calcium salts, which dry the skin for a long time. This is especially dangerous for dry skin, it may start to flake, although all the care products have been selected by you correctly.
